SharePoint gives you the option to get notified if any changes happened to documents you want to follow their progress.


To get notified, go to the Folder or chose the file you want to receive notification for. Click on the three dotes at the control bar. Then, Click on  Alert me as shown in the image below.



Now, you will see a window where you can customize the Notifications. You can choose the Title of the notification, you can add any user you want to receive the notification, and where they receive that notification.

Also, what type of change you want to get notified about, and, when to receive the notification.


When you are done with the options, Click on OK to save.
