SSP23 - How to scan with a USB

During SSP23 you will have access to a scanner at ITA and INPE.

Follow the instructions below to understand how to scan using a USB key:

Locating the IPR Office:

Locate the big glass doors, the printer will be in that Office.

Locate the printer in the Office:

The printer should be on the right hand side. Use the Black and White printer to scan the documents.

Locating the USB port:

Locate the USB port on the right-hand side of the Black and White printer/scanner.

Inserting the USB key:

Insert the USB key into the port.

Displaying the USB on the printer screen:

The USB should appear on the printer screen. Click on either one of the two USB icons displayed.

Changing the document name:
On the right side of the screen, you will notice that the default document name is "documento". To modify it, click on the title.

Completing the process:

Once you have made the necessary changes, click the "Feito" button.

Preparing the document (WAY 1):

Open the printer's lid and place the document face down.

Aligning the paper (WAY 1):

Align the paper with the upper left corner.

Preparing the document (WAY 2):

On the top of the printer there is a paper feader.

Aligning the paper (WAY 2):

Place the papers facing up with the text towards the printer.

Initiating the scanning process:

When you are ready to scan, press the large blue button located at the bottom right corner of the printer.

Scanning multiple pages:

After scanning the first page, the printer will prompt you if you wish to scan another page. Press "Sim" if you do, or press "Não" if you don't.

Completing the scanning process:

Once you have finished scanning, locate the world icon at the top of the scanner's screen and press it.

Ejecting the USB key safely:

Press the "Seguro para remover USB" button to safely eject your USB key.

Congratulations, you have successfully completed the scanning process!
