Add Assets
To display content on your digital display system, start by adding assets. Simply click the "Add Asset" button at the top of the page, which will give you two options: adding assets via URL or uploading them directly.
URL assets can include a link to a live webpage or a YouTube video. If you have remote video content you'd like to display, this method works effectively. However, keep in mind that longer videos may require Anthias to perform some checks, and it may also cache the content. As a result, it could take some time before the video becomes available for display.
Click on "Upload" to upload a files.
The file types supported by Anthias Digital Signage typically include a variety of media formats for images, videos, and other content. Here’s a general list of file types that are commonly supported by digital signage platforms.
Supported Image Files:
- JPG/JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg)
- PNG (.png)
- GIF (.gif) – for static images or basic animations
- BMP (.bmp) – though less common due to larger file sizes
- SVG (.svg) – scalable vector graphics for high-quality images at any size
Supported Video Files:
- MP4 (.mp4) – the most widely supported format for video content
- AVI (.avi)
- MOV (.mov)
- WMV (.wmv) – Windows Media Video
- MPEG (.mpeg)
Supported Audio Files:
- MP3 (.mp3)
- WAV (.wav)
Keep in mind, you cannot upload a PowerPoint presentation and expect it to function, as it’s not compatible. Some users may need training to ensure they upload the correct media in the appropriate size, as Anthias does not automatically scale images to fit the screen. Videos, however, work without issue, which could be an incentive to include video content in your digital signage.
Managing Assets
After adding assets, they will automatically appear in the "Inactive Assets" section of the main page. Simply toggling them will move them to the "Active Assets" section, where they will remain for one month by default before being returned to the "Inactive Assets" section.
Edit Asset
Editing an asset allows you to manually set the start and end dates, as well as the duration the content will be displayed on the screen. For added convenience, the "Play For" setting offers options to schedule the content for 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, or indefinitely. This is especially handy if you need to display something for a specific day or week.
